Having studied American Studies and Sociology, he began to look at the world in terms of social networks and cultural trends rather than dollars and cents.

Leaving a high paying finance job offer on the table for more creative pursuites, he started his marketing career, interning for urban fashion line Azzuré Denim. There he gained valuable experience with guerilla marketing, social networking, event planning, product placement, and campaign creation.

In 2006, he started Infinite Visions, LLC a marketing and business development consultancy for grassroots arts and culture organizations. As a consultant, led in strategic planning sessions that focused on setting clear goals and objectivs, and developing meaningful mission and  vision statements for growth. As a consultant, Keenan has raised over $300K in grants from government and private institutions for over a dozen organizations.

In 2007, he transitioned to the media space working as a Digital Media Analyst with White, LLC - a $100M film fund focused on producing intelligent multicultural content. The fund was founded by actors Brian White (12 Rounds, Fighting) Boris Kodjoe (Soul Food, Undercovers), and acclaimed director Sylvain White (Stomp the Yard, The Losers). At White, LLC he worked alongside the VP of Digital Media to forecast models for reducing investment risk in independent film production and distribution.

Recognizing the shift to social media, in 2008, he co-founded Model Complex, a social networking site targeting aspiring models and entertainment professionals. Later in 2008, he leveraged his skills as a grant writer to create a proposal  winning $250K for the production of an independent film, Strawberry Wine which starred Zach Roerig (Vampire Diaries) and comedian Bill Engvall (Blue Collar Comedy, The Bill Engvall Show).

Taking insights from his experiences in media and marketing over the past several years, he and his long-time business partner co-founded Glass Ceiling Media in 2009.The goal of the company was to provide innovative strategy powered by proprietary technology that uses the social graph to provide consumer market research. Glass Ceiling is a social media company that empowers CMOs, agencies, brands, and talent with 360 degree turnkey approaches to social media initiatives.
